Last week we did artwork about R.E. We had the option to colour it with pencils, pastels or watercolour. We made one about the last supper, the crucifixion and the resurrection. we made a draft picture and then we got a small piece of card, we had to fill the entire page.
Every Monday we do the Gospel and we answer some questions about this weeks Gospel. Sometimes the questions can be hard but most of the time they are not.

This week since its advent we had a task to do about Advent symbols and what they represent. We also had to add an image. Advent is about Jesus’s arrival, when its Advent time in the churches there is usually and advent wreath with four candles, three purple and one pink.

This week for R.E we are learning about Advent. We had to make a calendar of nice things we can do from December 1st to the 24th it doesn’t have to be big it just has to be something small and kind.

Kia ora, last week we did a fact file about Mary. And we learnt why the rosary is so significant. we also had to write one of the mysteries about the rosary and what it means. Mary´s real name is actually Maryam. She had a family of five including her, Jesus, Saint Anne, Saint Joseph, & Joachim. Mary was very loving and helped people a lot, she was very kind.

We do Gospel every Monday, this week we were learning that its better to be clean on the inside than the outside. God wants us to have faith, be kind and follow in his footsteps.

Hello welcome back to my blog.
This week we have been learning about the Olympics. We had to pretend we were in the Olympics in the olden days and what it would be like. I did what it would be like doing running, long jump and discus. At the old Olympics they had to run with shields and for long jump they had to hold weights.
Two days ago we had an Olympian come in her name was Andrea Hewitt she did triathlons we were very lucky to have her.

Last week a group went to Sumner beach me and my friends were one of them, it was freezing cold so we had to layer up with thermal jackets and pants.
We learnt about the sand dunes and why we need them a couple years ago people were getting angry that they could sit on there balcony and watch the sunrise in there pj’s and had to get dressed and make there way through the dunes.
So the council said ok we will try and remove some of the dunes. and there house roof got filled with sand and it broke so they had to fix there house.
In the sand dunes there are beetles,spiders and lizards.

Today for maths we did a graph and went and asked kaupeka downstairs what their favorite sport was.
The options were Netball,football,rugby,hockey,touch,basketball,tennis and volley ball.
My favorite sport is netball because it is so much fun and you can make lots of friends with the people in your team and even the people on the other team.

What have you been learning in maths?
This week for reading we have been learning about habitats. We had to make a post card to send to someone to teach them about habitats. I chose to do dry lands and send it to Lilarose. Dry lands are vulnerable to invasion by weeds such conifers and Scotch broom.
